Detroit Needs WAT…
We analyzed the data representing the percentage of Detroit residents challenged by disabilities. We compared these numbers to the surrounding counties and found disabilities in Detroit far outnumber other areas. We believe this data supports an overall need for Wilson’s Adaptive Technologies in the “Motor City.”
Our Country Needs WAT….
We also examined the type of challenges most people with disabilities experience. We wanted to know more about “disability types” in order to further assess the need for equipment such as the shower apparatus offered by WAT. Our findings supported our position on the overall need for our product.
The most prevalent disability type experienced by American citizens falls in the cognitive range. However, we were able to combine at least four disability types that are likely to affect an individuals ability to manage their self-care for total 51% in this category.
